Black and white glass of water with blue straw
I’m thrilled that Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge is looking for photographs of liquid, because I couldn’t imagine how I’d ever get to post these two shots of a glass of water. Which do you prefer — the all black/white, or the black/white with blue straw?

I prefer the one with the blue straw, it is more striking and more artistic.

That one is my favourite, too.

I prefer all black and white. The blue straw distracts me from the water.

Good point, Anabel. It does rather dominate the photo.

Both of your photos are spectacular. I really like the selective color one though.

The monochrome. The blue straw shows that you know your fx, alright ! 😀

I must thank Leanne Cole’s blog for that little trick. So easy, yet so effective! 🙂
I think the full mono version is rather dull.

Nope, not tetchy at all. I’m off on a 3-week holiday on Saturday, so in a very good mood. 🙂 Just counting down the days.

It was actually my second choice, the first being Wolf Hall Pt 1 (very different!). I’m staying with a friend and he suggested we go to a show, and asked what I’d like to see. I gave him four. I don’t know if he didn’t like the sound of the others! This should be a blast, definitely. 🙂
That’s Saturday night 30 May, and Sunday morning we are going to Central Park (he lives just a few blocks away). Fingers crossed for nice weather!

I’d give any stage production of “Wolf Hall” a big miss, myself: I adored the book, and nothing could possibly live up to it. Who could POSSIBLY pay Thomas Cromwell on stage (i.e., having to ‘project’) without me wanting to kill him ?!

I haven’t read the book, though I’d like to. I baulk at the cost of books!
