Rent-a-Camel
I have definitely been of the dilatory kind this month as this is my first photo for Becky’s Kinda Squares. These two camels, resting in front of The Treasury at Petra, Jordan, were available for tourists to ride.

Yay you have joined us 😀 I am so happy and what a fabulous two to start with. Never too late to join in with squares

I’m slowly editing the huge number of scans of my poor quality old travel photos. Yesterday was Jordan. I saw these two and said ‘aha!’.

Years. There are thousands and thousands. 😦 And Photoshop, despite the extra RAM I added, still takes 10-15 seconds to open a file, 10-15 seconds to then open it again in camera raw filter, 10 seconds to return to PS for more edits. Hard to stay motivated.

oh my that’s so much work – is there anyone you could perhaps delegate it to?!

If I had a few thousand dollars to spare I could suppose I could hire a freelancer, but that seems rather silly given I have the same skills. Also, as you know yourself, each person’s idea of “a good photo” varies — in light, darkness, contrast, etc. I’d still have to do tweak them. Well, my employer is forcing us all to waste over half of our annual leave by closing for 3 weeks over xmas, so I guess I’ll have something to do in lieu of actually taking a holiday.
